WASHINGTON – Progressive Coalition for American Jobs (PCAJ) Senior Advisor Mitch Stewart issued the following statement today on the primary win of Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz – the last of the 28 House Democrats who supported last year's Trade Promotion Authority to successfully emerge from their local primary:
"With yesterday's primary result, Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz cements a perfect record of primary wins for the 28 House Democrats who voted in favor of Trade Promotion Authority for President Obama. Poll after poll has shown that Democrats support trade and the TPP, and the results are bearing out in the ballot box. We look forward to their continued leadership in Congress fighting for free and fair trade policies that expand jobs, grow wages, and secures America's leadership in the global economy."
The Progressive Coalition for American Jobs brings together progressives and Democrats committed to leveling the playing field for American workers and building a stronger economy for all of us.
